... Awareness Day - Tuesday 2nd September 2008, Myerscough College, Bilsborrow, Preston.

The event is aimed at arboriculturists, on how to avoid the most common causes of accidents and ill health which arise from their activities.

This a free event and lunch will be provided. There are 2 sessions available:

Morning registration 9.15am
Afternoon registration 12.30pm

There will be demonstrations by college tutors who are members of LANTRA and teach arboriculture. Along with Health and Safety Executive staff they will be able to answer most of the frequently asked questions you may have about your area of work.

Demonstrations on the day cover:

• Chainsaws & Personal Protective Equipment
• Wood chippers & stump grinders
• Tree climbing
• Aerial rescue
• Mobile Elevated Work Platforms & Chapter 8 (roadwork)
