Four sets of accident statistics from the HSE

 

STATISTICS ON FATAL INJURIES IN THE WORKPLACE 2008/09

++ Published 24 June, provisional data for the period April 2008 - March

++ 2009 shows a statistically significant decrease in the rate of fatal

++ injury to workers, and reinforces an underlying downward trend that

++ appeared to be levelling off in recent years. ++

QUARTERLY RELEASE OF NON-FATAL INJURIES JANUARY - MARCH 2009

++ Published 24 June, the quarterly non-fatal injury series provides an

++ early indication of the latest trends in accidents to employees

++ reported under RIDDOR. This release covers the period January - March

++ 2009 and a look back over the past 5 years. ++

 

 

EUROPEAN COMPARISONS 2006

++ Levels of workplace fatality and injury in Great Britain are among

++ the lowest in Europe. The latest comparisons for 2006 provide

++ comparative workplace injury statistics for most countries in the

++ European Union. These latest comparisons are based on Eurostat data

++ and presented on updated web pages on the HSE site. ++
